Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel seeks a Band 8c Pharmacist Manager to lead the Kings Lynn pharmacy team within an NHS framework. This ongoing role offers flexible working across part-time or full-time hours and focuses on medicines management, governance, and delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care.

The role requires strategic leadership, evidence-based prescribing, and governance oversight to ensure safe, efficient services aligned with Trust objectives.

Qualifications

• Current GPhC registration required.
• Significant senior-level pharmacy management and leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and NHS pharmacy services.
• Experience in budget management, service development, and workforce leadership.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to safe, patient-centred pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, operational, and strategic leadership for pharmacy services, driving service development and medicines optimisation initiatives.
• Promote evidence-based prescribing and delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care.
• Ensure governance, compliance with medicines legislation, and patient safety while leading clinical governance activities.
• Oversee service delivery, monitor KPIs, and implement quality and efficiency improvements.
• Manage delegated budgets, medicines expenditure, and cost-improvement programmes.
• Lead recruitment, supervision, and professional development across pharmacy teams.
• Direct audits, investigate incidents, manage risks, and implement service enhancements.
• Drive digital transformation through optimisation of electronic prescribing and digital systems.
• Collaborate with clinical teams, senior leaders, and external partners to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide expert advice on medicines management strategies across the Trust.
