Job summary

Fortidia, based in Accrington, is seeking a People Manager to lead HR across the UK & Ireland for a multi-brand operation. You will partner with the Country Manager, oversee recruitment, development, and compensation, and drive strategic people initiatives in a matrix, international environment.

The role requires strong HR leadership with 5+ years of experience, excellent English communication, and hands-on delivery of HR processes, learning programs and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• University-level degree with strong academic performance.
• Minimum 5 years of HR management and operations experience.
• Robust knowledge of local employment law.
• Experience in multi-unit, multi-brand, or matrix organisations.
• Excellent written and spoken English; proficient with MS Office & Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic HR business partner to the Country Manager, supporting three brands and locations.
• Manage HR topics and processes from workforce budgeting to recruitment, performance, development and compensation.
• Enhance recruiting strategy to attract top candidates across UK across multiple functions.
• Develop and execute Organisational & People Growth initiatives in a matrix, international structure.
• Oversee administrative hiring activities and HR system maintenance.
• Provide HR guidance to UK & Ireland colleagues (70+ people) and other locations.
• Monitor learning needs and measure training effectiveness.
• Travel ~10% to visit stores, offices and group locations.
