Job summary

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Senior Lead Business Engagement & Retention to drive corporate engagement, KAM, and retention strategies. You will lead relationships with Swindon’s Top 100 employers and anchor institutions, broker cross-department solutions, and promote inclusive growth through apprenticeships and local procurement.

The role requires travel around the Borough, a hybrid working model with two in-office days weekly, and fluency in English. Salary £60,290 p.a. plus benefits.

• Experienced relationship-builder with commercial judgement and credibility to engage senior business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead Swindon's corporate engagement, Key Account Management and retention strategies.
• Lead strategic relationships with Swindon’s Top 100 employers and anchor institutions.
• Broker internal Council solutions across planning, licensing and highways.
• Champion inclusive growth by expanding apprenticeships, real Living Wage adoption, and SME procurement.
