Job summary

River Island is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to support the Strategic Partnerships Merchandiser, Merch Lead and Wholesale teams. You will help shape buying/planning, manage orders, provide insights, and guide merchandising Admin Assistants while delivering the Wholesale strategy in line with the River Island brand.

Based at Head Office in West London, the role focuses on planning, stock management, KPI delivery, and collaboration with Partner Account teams to optimise sales and trading

Qualifications

• At least 18 months' experience within merchandising, including Assistant Merchandiser or Senior Merchandising Admin/Senior Allocator
• Experience in an omni-channel business is highly desirable
• Track record of mentoring and developing other team members
• Proven results in assisting with and delivering a strategic plan
• Track record of delivering and exceeding KPIs
• Track record of driving strong team and individual performance and engagement
• Advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and delivery of the trading strategy for the account with KPIs
• Help form the wholesale strategy aligned with River Island brand strategy
• Act as point of contact for Partner Account team with day-to-day queries
• Direct and sign off on range plans considering option width, ALB, pre-season buys, OTB and in-season budgets
• Provide accurate analysis to maximise sales and trading opportunities and suggest adjustments
• Deliver department and category performance insights to drive sales and trade
• Manage Wholesale stock, intake forecasts, and flow product intake
• Maintain accuracy of Wholesale order database and reporting
