Job Description:

Business Development Representative (Hybrid)

Telent is looking for a new addition to the Sales & Marketing team as part of the Network Services division. We are seeking a driven, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking Business Development Representative to join our team and help build and develop relationships within the Emergency Services, Public Sector, Government, Utilities, and Nuclear space. This role will involve working through a Telent training plan and collaborating with the team at our Warwick office and Camberley office at least one day per week, alternating every week.

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll play a multi-faceted role that is integral to the success of Telent’s go-to-market strategy. As you learn and grow in the BDR role, we’ll help you map out a path on which you’ll be able to grow your career at Telent for years to come.

BDR - What you’ll do:

  1. Gain comprehensive knowledge of Telent, our offerings, and the markets we operate in, to educate prospects.
  2. Work closely with the Sales team to support the sales pipeline and growth by actively researching target accounts and key stakeholders within these target customer team structures.
  3. Create and coordinate campaigns for prospect accounts based on the research of your allocated territory.
  4. Perform targeted prospect outreach via phone calls, emails, social media, and your own creative efforts, generating interest in Telent’s offerings and selling the benefits of our services.
  5. Follow up with engaged/warm inbound leads from the marketing team and turn them into meetings and new opportunities for new business.
  6. Analyse and report on your weekly activities and pipeline generation efforts.

BDR - Who you are:

We are looking for candidates who are resilient, driven, self-motivated, and adopt a practical way of working. You should have relevant experience in a sales environment, particularly in outbound sales, and the ability to generate and identify new business leads. A university degree or equivalent is also preferred with some experience of working in an office setup.

Telent - What we offer:

A career at Telent can span sectors, roles, technologies, and customers, giving you the opportunity to develop, learn new skills, and make an impact. We nurture the talent that makes this happen by our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive culture that respects and values differences and celebrates diverse ideas.

We’re passionate about creating an environment that champions diversity and inclusion, where everyone feels they belong, can be themselves, and are empowered to reach their full potential. People are at the heart of our business, and we believe that our teams should reflect the diverse experiences and backgrounds of the communities we support.
