Job Description Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Merchant Services team as a Strategic Partnership Manager - New Business. You will play a key role in shaping the future of payments acceptance.

About this opportunity

This role involves growing our key partnerships by leveraging your knowledge in the payments space. You will collaborate with internal teams to assess and prioritize a pipeline of partners, lead negotiations, manage onboarding, and support GTM teams for launches.

What you’ll be doing:
  1. Identify and target applicable partnerships using your expertise in Lloyd’s top sectors.
  2. Lead complex negotiations, supporting legal and technical aspects with internal teams.
  3. Collaborate with sales to address gaps and support outputs from win/loss analysis.
  4. Prioritize partners based on internal needs and problem-solving capabilities.
  5. Support sales teams in meetings and conferences as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  6. Onboard partners and ensure their success before transitioning to the Relationship Management team.
  7. Align initiatives with company goals through collaboration with senior leadership.
  8. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key partners.
  9. Represent Lloyds at industry events, conferences, and forums, enhancing company presence through thought leadership and strategic partnerships.

What You’ll Need:
  • Extensive experience in the payments acceptance industry and management in merchant services/gateway environments.
  • Experience working with third-party organizations such as ISVs, ISOs, and technology providers.
  • Knowledge of UK sectors like Hospitality and Retail.
  • Technical understanding of integrations and related challenges from both partner and merchant perspectives.
  • Proven ability to influence strategy at high levels.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a customer and partner-centric approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
