JOB TITLE: Strategic Partnership Manager - New Business

SALARY: Competitive package

LOCATION: Basildon, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, involving at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office hubs or partner sites.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Merchant Services team, where you could play a key role in shaping the future of payments acceptance!

About this opportunity

A great opportunity has arisen to join Lloyds Merchant Services' growing Partnership team to help expand our key partnerships.

Utilizing your extensive knowledge in payments, you'll collaborate with internal sales and strategy teams to assess and prioritize a pipeline of partners (ISVs, PSPs, ISOs, PAAS, Plug-ins, etc.), giving Lloyds a competitive edge in top sectors.

This role involves leading commercial and contractual negotiations, liaising with technical colleagues for onboarding, and engaging with GTM teams for launches.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify and target applicable partnerships based on your expertise and Lloyd’s top sectors
  • Lead complex negotiations, supporting legal and technical discussions as needed
  • Collaborate with sales to identify gaps and how the partner team can support
  • Prioritize partners based on internal needs and problem-solving opportunities
  • Support sales teams in meetings and conferences as an SME on partnerships
  • Onboard partners and ensure their success before transitioning to the Relationship Management team
  • Align initiatives with company goals through collaboration with senior leadership
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners for long-term success
  • Represent Lloyds at industry events, conferences, and forums, showcasing thought leadership and strategic partnerships

What You’ll Need

  • Significant experience in payments acceptance and management in merchant services or gateway environments
  • Experience working with third-party organizations such as ISVs, ISOs, or technology providers
  • Knowledge of UK sectors like Hospitality and Retail
  • Technical understanding of integrations and related challenges from partner and merchant perspectives
  • Proven ability to influence strategy at high levels
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a partner and customer-centric approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
