As one of the fastest growing and highest rated commercial energy suppliers in the UK, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and organised Strategic Partnerships Manager , based at our office in Guiseley, Leeds.

The Strategic Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships that align with UGP’s business objectives and values. This role is pivotal in creating mutually beneficial relationships with organisations that share UGP’s commitment to sustainable energy and customer excellence, driving business growth and enhancing brand presence.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and approach potential partners whose values, customer base, or strategic objectives align with UGP’s mission.
  • Develop bespoke partnership proposals and negotiate agreements to ensure mutual benefit and exclusivity where possible.
  • Manage and nurture ongoing partner relationships to maximise engagement, satisfaction, and commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, and customer service) to deliver integrated partnership campaigns and offers.
  • Monitor partnership performance, reporting on KPIs and ROI, and proactively address issues or opportunities for improvement.
  • Represent UGP at industry events, networking opportunities, and partner meetings to enhance the company’s profile.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the energy sector, partnership trends, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
  • Ensure all partnership activity complies with UGP’s standards, policies, and regulatory requirements .
What are we looking for?
  • Proven experience in partnership management, business development, or a similar commercial role, ideally within energy, utilities, or B2B services.
  • Excellent negotiation and objection-handling skills, with a track record of closing partnership deals.
  • Strong initiative, confidence, and the ability to work independently to manage activities and objectives.
  • High standard of IT literacy, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Tenacious, driven, and results-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborative working style, able to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage own workload with minimal supervision.
