About the Role:

This is an exciting time to join and lead a thriving and high performing function within the Human Resources and Organisational Development Division of Lambeth. In any of these roles, you’ll be leading and supporting our people during a period of transformational change, improving employee experience and ensuring that our OD and Learning interventions are of a high quality, impactful and ambitious.

The Strategic Organisational Development Partner will play a pivotal role in delivering a collaborative, inclusive and high performing culture, leading and supporting HROD-wide strategic projects. Working closely with our Strategic HR Partners, the postholder will provide strategic leadership for workforce planning and organisational culture, ensuring that Lambeth’s workforce can adapt to achieve its objectives. As the organisation’s expert on Organisational Development, the role involves leading on all aspects of change, transformation, employee engagement and performance management, capability development and strategic workforce planning

In this role, you will work closely with the organisation’s expert on the Equity and Justice agenda, ensuring that anti-racist and anti-discriminatory practices are embedded across the council. You will contribute to council-wide and directorate initiatives to achieve and implement the One Lambeth Culture Change priorities and corporate objectives. Additionally, you will be accountable for the performance of the service area, driving transformational organisational change to achieve excellent member, customer, and partner relationships while delivering cost-effective, high-quality services to residents.

To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence:

An understanding of organisational development practice and culture change.

An understanding working strategically in a complex public sector organisation

Experience in developing employee engagement programmes

Experience in developing OD interventions to enhance organisational performance and drive change

Ability to influence, engage and work collaboratively with managers, elected members, trade unions, employee groups, and external stakeholders and partners, as required and

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously with good attention to detail, whilst also managing overall team demand, priorities, and resource allocation.
