Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority is seeking an Opportunity Development Manager to identify, develop and secure strategic funding and commercial opportunities across the Technology Division. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to build consortia, shape opportunities from early engagement through to successful proposals and align them with strategic objectives.

You will coordinate bid governance, ensure high-quality proposals, and drive growth through external engagement with customers, funding bodies

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex bids from qualification through submission.
• Experience identifying, qualifying and developing new funding opportunities.
• Ability to bring together customers, partners and technical teams to create compelling proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, coordination and submission of bids, funding proposals and opportunities aligned to strategic objectives.
• Coordinate Bid Viability Assessment (BVA) to support Go/No-Go decisions and improve bid processes.
• Build consortia and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders for complex bids.
• Oversee the bid lifecycle from qualification to submission, ensuring robust, compliant and timely proposals.
• Monitor commercial activity, pipelines and CRM data to support informed decisions.
• Maintain proposal libraries and knowledge management to drive improvement.
