Job summary

Qualifications

• Commitment to public service values and high-quality patient care.
• Experience leading governance, risk management or audit functions.
• Demonstrable experience in mergers, acquisitions or complex commercial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent judgement and advice on strategy, performance, resources and standards of conduct and challenge, influence and help develop proposals.
• Monitor performance and conduct of management in meeting goals and statutory responsibilities, including annual reports and accounts.
• Ensure financial information is accurate and that financial controls and risk management systems are robust.
• Assure that information about quality and safety of services is accurate and robust.
• Contribute to setting executive remuneration levels and respond to governance needs.
• Participate in and chair Trust committees as needed and mentor senior executives.
