Job summary

Skylight Psychiatry is seeking an experienced Consultant to join as Medical Director, reporting to the Clinical Team Lead. The role provides strategic clinical leadership across the organisation, guiding governance, service development and multidisciplinary collaboration while maintaining clinical practice.

The Medical Director will lead on clinical quality, safety, and patient outcomes, support innovation, and represent Skylight Psychiatry with external partners.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist with current licence to practise.
• Significant experience in ADHD, autism and wider neurodevelopmental services.
• Senior clinical leadership experience at consultant level.
• Experience contributing to service development and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic clinical leadership across Skylight Psychiatry.
• Oversee clinical governance, quality, safety and risk management.
• Develop and improve clinical services and pathways.
• Represent Skylight Psychiatry with external stakeholders and commissioners.
• Maintain an active clinical practice alongside leadership duties.
