The successful candidate will implement effective media campaigns, manage media enquiries, and support members facing media scrutiny. The ideal applicant should have experience in a press office environment and strong relationship-building skills. This position offers an annual salary of £28,000 – £34,000 with a full time contract and various benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and advise key stakeholders.
• Experience in producing and editing high quality written material.
• Proven track record in individual and organisational crisis/reputational management.

Responsibilities

• Implement effective media campaigns to promote MPS.
• Identify opportunities for MPS promotion across media platforms.
• Advise spokespeople and senior colleagues on media approaches.
• Provide 24/7 media support for members facing reputational damage.

Skills

Detailed knowledge of media relations functions

Proven experience in a busy press office

Ability to deliver high impact integrated media campaigns
