Job summary

AstraZeneca in Macclesfield, UK seeks an Associate Director of Materials Management for a 12-month secondment. You will lead tactical material supply chains, align site plans with global sourcing goals, and ensure on-time-in-full production through data-driven decision making.

You will drive forecasting accuracy, KPI governance, and stock policy across the network, while leading a high-performing team and maintaining compliance in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct the tactical management of critical material supply chains to protect production continuity.
• Turn enterprise priorities into an executable site plan, aligning materials strategy with sourcing and supply goals.
• Ensure materials are available for on-time-in-full production orders in a cost- and time-effective manner.
• Exploit information systems to surface actionable insights and improve data visibility and accuracy for decision making.
• Partner with sites to build accurate forecasts based on supply chain understanding.
• Provide and interpret KPIs and balance scorecard reporting, driving improvements on data accuracy and stock management.
• Establish stock targets across locations and synchronize plans and material flows with partners.
• Drive a culture of compliance and lead root cause analysis to prevent failures.
• Represent the site in regional and global forums on major change programs.
• Own the financial budget for write-off and waste to minimize obsolescence.
