Job summary

AstraZeneca Macclesfield is seeking an Associate Director for External Manufacturing Procurement to lead the technology-aligned category strategy across pre-commercial and commercial spend. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value, drive supplier performance, and enable the company’s ambitious manufacturing roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field.
• Extensive direct procurement experience in pharma or regulated industries.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into workplans, governance and measurable outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management across a global matrix organisation.
• Experience leading multi-workstream projects end to end.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of category strategy and supplier development initiatives.
• Drive End-to-End Source to Contract (S2C) activities with suppliers.
• Manage supplier performance, cost take-out, and risk across B2B initiatives.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to align procurement strategy with business objectives.
• Participate in governance forums and cross-functional teams to enable decisions.
