Job summary

SRM Recruitment are partnering with a high-growth SME near Guildford to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. You will support the Financial Controller, producing management accounts and packs, and aiding budgeting and forecasting.

The role partners with non-finance teams to drive commercial decisions and ensure timely, accurate reporting. Ideal candidates are part-qualified or qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with strong Excel, SAP B1 and VAT knowledge, plus experience in

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant with relevant experience.
• Strong management accounting and financial analysis experience.
• Commercial mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with non-finance colleagues and tight deadlines.
• Excellent Excel and stock/ VAT reconciliation experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Support month-end close and revenue recognition processes.
• Assist in budgets, forecasts and year-end audit.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support commercial decisions.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Handle VAT reconciliation and submissions; manage stock/WIP.
