Job summary

Accept Recruitment in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a growing finance team. The role offers ownership of core finance processes, supporting business reporting and compliance in a permanent position.

The successful candidate will have AAT (or equivalent), advanced Excel, and strong analytical skills, with experience in UK VAT and double-entry bookkeeping. This role is on-site in Wolverhampton with a salary up to £39,000.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in an accounts department.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated and analytical.
• Expert knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Working knowledge of VAT regulations and UK GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Bank reconciliations and weekly cash flow forecasting.
• Sales ledger management, credit control and customer credit vetting.
• Month-end close and quarterly VAT returns.
• Preparing management accounts - accruals, prepayments, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Fixed Asset Register and depreciation.
• Cost of sales analysis, WIP review, stock verification and valuation.
• Supporting annual budgeting and statistical reporting.
• Producing daily/weekly/monthly reports for senior management.
• Driving process automation and improvement.
