Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is seeking a visionary MACPT Service Manager to shape and lead safeguarding across Staffordshire. You will drive strategic and operational delivery, oversee complex child protection processes and build strong multi-agency partnerships to secure better outcomes for children and families.

You will lead senior teams, ensure high-quality safeguarding practice, and manage resources and performance with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Qualified and registered Social Worker with a degree-level qualification and significant leadership/management experience within Children's Social Care.
Substantial experience leading teams in a multi-agency safeguarding environment.
In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory frameworks and safeguarding practice, including CSPRs and related processes.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead the strategic and operational delivery of the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT).
Provide leadership, supervision and support to Team Managers and multi-agency staff.
Develop and maintain effective partnerships with social care, police, health, education and other stakeholders.
Oversee statutory child protection processes and case progression.
Monitor service performance, quality assurance and safeguarding outcomes.
Lead service development, transformation and change initiatives.
Ensure effective management of resources, budgets, risks and performance.
