Job summary

Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) is seeking a Head of Technical & Facilities to lead the Technical Resources department, overseeing building services, maintenance and compliance across MAC.

You will work closely with the Deputy CEO to develop facilities and infrastructure, manage capital projects and support MAC's artistic programme, sustainability objectives and operational efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, contractor management and the ability to respond to evening and weekend events.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in facilities, engineering or related discipline (IOSH Managing Safely).
• Experience managing facilities, technical services, estates or building operations in public venues.
• Knowledge of health and safety, building compliance and CDM regulations.
• Experience leading budgets, projects and teams for safe, effective operations.
• Understanding technical production needs for performances and events.

• Lead the Technical Resources department and ensure high standards of technical delivery and compliance.
• Oversee maintenance programmes, building systems and contractor management.
• Support MAC's artistic programme, sustainability goals and operational efficiency.
