Job summary

Peel Ports Group is seeking a Head of Group Accounting, Financial Reporting & Controls to lead the delivery of accurate and compliant reporting across the Peel Ports Group. You will oversee month-end close, statutory reporting, audit coordination, balance sheet governance, VAT compliance and robust financial controls.

You will drive efficiency, standardisation and automation while developing a high-performing finance team in a complex organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with extensive financial reporting experience.
• Proven ability to manage period-end close, statutory reporting and external reporting.
• Strong governance and control framework knowledge and VAT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of accurate, timely group financial reporting and controls.
• Oversee month-end close, statutory reporting and audit coordination.
• Govern balance sheet integrity and policy compliance across the group.
• Drive process improvement, automation and data-led insights.
• Develop and support high-performing finance teams.
