Job summary

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust in Derbyshire is seeking a Species Reintroduction Strategic Lead to shape and drive ambitious reintroduction work across Wilder 2030. You will lead a pipeline of projects, build partnerships with communities and funders, and secure external support for a landscape-scale nature recovery effort.

Qualifications

• Experience leading landscape-scale environmental or nature recovery programmes.
• Proven track record securing external funding through grants, bids or tenders.
• Ability to build partnerships with communities, landowners, funders and public bodies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a strategic framework for species reintroductions across Priority Programmes.
• Develop and deliver a pipeline of evidence-led species reintroduction and recovery projects.
• Build strong partnerships with communities, landowners, public bodies, funders and conservation organisations.
• Secure external funding and investment through grant applications and tenders.
• Oversee programme budgets, monitor delivery against objectives and reporting.
• Lead, inspire and develop a small team, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Represent Derbyshire Wildlife Trust at local, regional and national forums.
