Job summary

West Berkshire Council is seeking a Safeguarding Children's Partnership Manager to lead the safeguarding partnership's operation and drive improvements for children and young people. You will coordinate multi‑agency activity, monitor safeguarding arrangements and provide high‑quality advice to the Partnership Board.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience in safeguarding children's issues
• Strong understanding of the legislative framework and statutory requirements related to child protection
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and agency representatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and project management abilities
• Ability to analyse complex information and provide clear recommendations

Responsibilities

• Facilitating the work of the Partnership and ensuring effective collaboration between key agencies
• Coordinating the delivery of safeguarding activities and initiatives to protect children and young people
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of safeguarding arrangements
• Providing high-quality advice and support to the Partnership Board
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and relevant legislation
• Work closely with other local partnerships to promote wellbeing and safety of children
