Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is recruiting a Principal Educational Psychologist to provide strategic, professional and operational leadership for the countywide Educational Psychology Service, with a strong focus on inclusive practice and improving outcomes for children, young people and families.

Qualifications

Postgraduate qualification in educational psychology with HCPC registration.
Evidence-informed psychological practice for SEND duties.
Experience as Senior/Principal Educational Psychologist with leadership.

Responsibilities

Providing strategic, professional and operational leadership for a large Educational Psychology Service.
Ensuring a robust, high-quality educational psychology offer that supports statutory SEND functions.
Leading, motivating and developing senior colleagues and specialist teams.
Championing the voice of children and young people with SEND across the system.
Using performance, quality assurance and budget information to inform service planning.
Building strong partnerships with schools, families, health, social care and providers.
Contributing to SEND and Inclusion reform, inspection readiness and service redesign.
