Job summary

Hull City Council is seeking an Alternative Provision Practice Lead to provide leadership, oversight and challenge across a diverse network of Alternative Provision providers. The role ensures statutory duties are met, and that provision delivers measurable outcomes for vulnerable children and families.

You will manage AP contracts, quality assurance, and performance management to achieve KPIs, while supporting reintegration into mainstream education.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in education or local authority settings.
• Experience leading change and driving improvement through performance management.
• Ability to build partnerships with schools, providers and multi-agency partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate AP contracts ensuring compliance with KPI and safeguarding.
• Develop and implement alternative provision standards and inclusive practices.
• Monitor reintegration pathways and ensure measurable targets are met.
• Engage parents, carers and young people in shaping services.
