Job Title: Strategic Land Buyer

Location: Great Blakenham, IP6

We’re seeking a Strategic Land Buyer / Manager to join our Land Teams in Suffolk and Anglia Regions, reporting to the Land Department. The role involves identifying and assessing strategic land opportunities, supporting planning and financial appraisals, and developing local market knowledge to ensure a sustained land supply.

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify strategic land opportunities for residential development under option agreements.
2. Coordinate information for site offers with external and internal teams to maintain a strong land bank.
3. Manage relationships with landowners and land agents, promoting sites and understanding local planning contexts.
4. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and surveyors to optimize profit and control costs.
5. Conduct land appraisals, negotiate deals, and support team targets and standards.
6. Support the Land Manager when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Knowledge of planning systems, policies, and regional housing markets.
2. Experience in a similar role within housebuilding, consultancy, or local authority preferred.
3. Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
5. Valid UK driving license.
