Job summary

Coventry Building Society is recruiting an IT Procurement Specialist to drive sourcing across a growing technology portfolio. You will lead supplier engagement, negotiation and contract award, delivering commercial value while managing risk and ensuring compliant procurement practices.

The role offers hybrid working with 1-2 days per week in Coventry, exposure to major IT transformation projects, and a supportive team focused on development and progression within procurement.

Qualifications

• Proven IT procurement experience delivering sourcing and supplier negotiation outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technology teams.
• Knowledge of commercial models, sourcing methodologies and supplier management principles.
• Knowledge of regulatory considerations relevant to IT procurement.
• Experience managing procurement exercises, including supplier selection, tendering and contract negotiations.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to prioritise workloads and deliver to deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead sourcing exercises from supplier engagement through to contract award.
• Deliver commercial value and manage risk through compliant procurement practices.
• Contribute to IT supplier portfolio sourcing strategies and identify opportunities to deliver value and innovation.
• Collaborate with Procurement, IT and Change teams across projects and initiatives.
