The Digital Purchasing Manager in Birmingham defines and operates the purchasing of digital IT hardware, software licences and services, while supporting supplier relationships, contracts, renewals and the end-to-end purchasing lifecycle.

This hybrid role is based in Birmingham with the right to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital/IT purchasing, procurement or supplier management.
• Experience purchasing software, licences, subscriptions or services.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end digital purchasing for hardware, software, licences and services.
• Coordinate purchasing requirements with function heads and Group Procurement.
• Ensure purchasing follows governance and approvals.
• Maintain purchasing records and audit trail.
• Own forward schedule of renewals and purchasing activity.
• Engage suppliers early to obtain quotations and validate demand.
• Provide cost, usage and trend information for planning.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate demand and reduce costs.
• Own day-to-day supplier relationships for quotations, orders and contracts.
• Build relationships with third-party software, technology and service providers.
• Coordinate engagement with Digital leadership, Procurement, Legal, Finance and Purchase Ledger.
• Escalate purchasing, supplier, contractual or payment risks promptly.
• Support end-to-end finance lifecycle from approved request to payment.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with Purchase Ledger and suppliers.
• Monitor commitments and renewals against financial information.
• Ensure POs, receipts and invoices are accurate and authorised.
• Own and maintain supplier and contract records.
• Produce reporting on purchasing activity, costs and trends.
• Use purchasing data to improve commercial outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and data quality.
