Job summary

Leadingedgeme is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst / Systems Designer to bridge business requirements and technical solutions in a Birmingham-based role. You will analyse processes, define system requirements, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to design scalable IT solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in business or systems analysis, strong SDLC knowledge, and experience with Jira/Confluence/Visio. A Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, business or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business or systems analysis.
• Knowledge of SDLC and process modelling; Agile/Scrum preferred.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence/Visio is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyse existing systems, processes, and workflows.
• Create functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and system documentation.
• Design and recommend appropriate IT solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, project managers, and business users.
• Support system integration, testing, UAT, and implementation activities.
• Identify system gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimisation.
• Assist with change management and post-implementation support.
