Job summary

National Highways is seeking an IT Audit Manager to join the Corporate Risk and Assurance division. You will lead audit engagements, manage an audit team, and oversee risk, controls and governance evaluations across the organisation.

The role requires expertise in IT and OT audit, with strong report-writing and stakeholder engagement skills, and will involve collaboration with senior leadership across UK offices.

Qualifications

• CISA or equivalent professional qualification required.
• Significant experience leading IT audit teams, including line management.
• Proven experience developing audit strategies and annual audit plans for complex engagements.
• Strong report-writing and communication skills for Executive/Board level stakeholders.
• Significant IT and OT audit experience with knowledge of cyber security, cloud services, and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and plan the IT audit programme and manage the audit team on assignments.
• Review audit documentation from terms of reference to audit report to ensure quality and standards.
• Attend senior meetings and present key audit findings as a trusted advisor.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to IT audit plan priorities and resource planning to deliver high-quality work.
