Job summary

ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. is seeking an Inventory, Planning and Supply Chain Leader based in Ipswich. The role focuses on inventory management, production planning and external supply chain, working with the production manager, global service team and R&D.

The position combines hands-on work with leading a small team, driving material scheduling, WO release, and continuous improvement across supply chain to meet customer demand and optimize stock costs.

Qualifications

• Must have manufacturing background with planning and scheduling experience.
• ERP systems experience required.
• Excel proficiency at SME level.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently to targets and processes.

Responsibilities

• Material scheduling and production planning to meet customer demand.
• Lead scheduling and release of Work Orders for make items.
• Manage inventory and lifecycle of parts for aging products; monitor costs.
• Drive material pull systems (Min/Max, KanBan, MRP) and guide buyers.
• Lead supply chain team to ensure supplier performance meets demand.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse and Manufacturing on issues and opportunities.
• Define suppliers for NPD and procure material; work with production engineering on ERP.
• Contribute to PPV projects and VAVE activities; mitigate increases.
