Job summary

The University of Greater Manchester’s School of Health, Science & Society seeks an inspirational IPE Lead to provide strategic and academic leadership for interprofessional education across the School of Health.

You will shape an ambitious, evidence-informed IPE model and work with nursing, allied health, public health, clinical and medical professions to create meaningful interprofessional learning experiences and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Significant experience and specialist knowledge of interprofessional education (IPE).
• Postgraduate qualification in education, health or related discipline.
• Registered healthcare professional with substantial IPE education experience.
• Knowledge of IPE theory, evidence and contemporary pedagogical approaches.
• Ability to influence, engage and bring together diverse professional groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an ambitious School-wide IPE strategy.
• Lead the development of innovative, evidence-informed IPE curricula and learning experiences.
• Collaborate with academic teams across nursing, allied health, public health, clinical and medical professions.
• Build a culture where interprofessional learning is embedded in the student experience.
• Lead staff capability in IPE through workshops and communities of practice.
• Develop simulations and authentic learning opportunities alongside the Simulation lead.
• Utilise IPE evidence and evaluation methodologies to enhance provision.
• Lead evaluation and quality enhancement of IPE impact on learning and practice.
• Develop partnerships with healthcare providers, professional organisations and external stakeholders.
• Represent the University nationally and internationally through professional networks.
