Job summary

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an AHP Workforce and Education Lead to provide strategic leadership for workforce development, oversee student placements, and drive apprentice and return-to-practice initiatives across the Trust.

The post works with AHP managers, HR, HEIs and system partners to deliver inclusive education, robust governance, and growth of AHP services, aligned with organisational priorities.

Qualifications

• Registered AHP with current HCPC registration.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Significant clinical AHP experience.
• Experience at band 7 or above.
• Knowledge of NHS Long Term Plan and AHP workforce strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for AHP workforce development across GWH.
• Lead and coordinate undergraduate activity and student placements.
• Support apprenticeship expansion and return-to-practice initiatives.
• Collaborate with AHP managers, HR, HEIs and system colleagues.
