Job summary

AstraZeneca Cambridge, UK, is seeking a Director, Internal and Corporate Communications for BioPharma to define and lead the internal communications and employee engagement strategy for the BioPharma Business Unit. The role partners with the EVP, BBU and LT members, requiring exemplary judgment and strong writing, event management and multi-channel campaigns across a matrixed environment.

Three days on site per week in Cambridge, with a flexible, hybrid approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Extensive background in global internal communications, preferably in pharma.
• Track record developing engaging internal communications to achieve tangible outcomes.
• Experience as a senior counsellor to executives and leaders.
• Strong event management and multi-channel campaign delivery.

Responsibilities

• Leads internal communications and channel management to bring BioPharma narrative to life.
• Defines and delivers the internal comms strategy and engages employees with business priorities.
• Leads key meetings and flagship BioPharma events and supports executives.
