Strategic Intelligence Manager - Law - London

One of the world's largest and most successful law firms is seeking a Strategic Intelligence Manager. This role aligns with the Business Development and Marketing functions within the firm and the broader Strategic Intelligence team. The core responsibility is to enhance the firm's understanding of industries and sectors, identify trends and opportunities, and leverage data and analytics to generate insights. The successful candidate will develop alerting and reporting tools for key internal stakeholders.

Primary Objectives and Responsibilities:

1. Support Business Development and Marketing leadership, Partners, and BD teams to strengthen existing client relationships and target new clients through strategic initiatives.
2. Create and manage alerts to monitor key clients and targets.
3. Research, share, and present insights to partners and BD teams, proposing practical actions.
4. Collaborate with practice BD leads to identify and prioritize potential opportunities and clients.
5. Research and build detailed profiles of companies, including operations, key contacts, recent deals, legal matters, and news.
6. Compare the firm’s position with competitors by analyzing strengths, weaknesses, league tables, transactions, legal cases, and industry news.
7. Track and analyze new developments across industries using data sources.
8. Research sectors and growth areas to inform BD efforts.
9. Identify relevant trends and provide clear, actionable insights.
10. Utilize data visualization tools to tell compelling stories with data.

Candidate Requirements:

• Extensive experience in a research and insight role driven by analytics, preferably within professional services, banking, or complex corporate environments.
• Proficiency in leveraging analytics and data to uncover insights.
• Experience with diverse data and information resources.
• Ability to interpret company financials and filings.
