Job summary

The AA is seeking a Risk and Compliance Specialist to help develop and embed AAUICL’s risk and control framework, ensuring good customer outcomes and strong governance. You will partner with risk owners, analyse incidents and drive regulatory compliance across GFSC, FCA and Solvency II.

You’ll coordinate cross-functional actions, monitor third-party risks, and communicate complex requirements with clarity to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Strong experience within UK personal lines insurance.
Analytical capability to connect data and make timely recommendations.
Pragmatic problem-solving with sound judgement on escalation and risk mitigation.
Confident stakeholder skills and cross-level collaboration.
Clear written and verbal communication translating regulatory information.
Experience developing or implementing policies, processes or procedures.

Responsibilities

Develop and embed AAUICL’s Risk Management Framework aligned with Group Risk & Compliance.
Partner with Risk Owners to identify, assess and manage risks and improve controls.
Analyze risks, issues and incidents to provide clear reporting for governance.
Support compliance with GFSC, FCA and Solvency II requirements for colleagues and providers.
Maintain Conduct and Customer Outcomes arrangements to reduce customer risk.
Oversee third-party and outsourcing compliance risks and control activity.
Coordinate compliance and audit actions, regulatory submissions and reporting for governance forums.
