Strategic Insights Analyst – ClarusOne London

Role Summary

The Strategic Insights Analyst plays a key role in developing and integrating data analytics and strategic insights to support the long-term vision, strategies, objectives, and goals of the business. This role is responsible for driving key data analytics capabilities that underpin business decision-making and for integrating analytics within ClarusONE’s technology solutions.

This role requires strong communication skills, with a proven ability to analyze, interpret, and report data, along with negotiation and relationship-building skills. The analyst will actively partner with relevant ClarusONE business functions to align and support strategic insight initiatives, transformational data requirements, and data science-led projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work proactively and cross-functionally to develop initiatives that deliver value to ClarusONE members using advanced analytics and insights.
  2. Leverage analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills to make data-driven recommendations.
  3. Partner with commercial teams to promote and own advanced analytics solutions that inform strategic decision-making.
  4. Identify solutions to complex problems independently through data insights.
  5. Communicate findings to diverse audiences, including leadership, influencing strategic initiatives and decisions.
  6. Support creation and management of data and analytics solutions to reduce supply risks related to regulation, manufacturing constraints, market dynamics, and supplier financial stability.
  7. Collaborate with product delivery and program management teams to embed analytics capabilities within the technology platform.
  8. Develop and maintain supplier and product segmentation models to aid strategic decisions.
  9. Develop ‘next best action’ analytics solutions to enhance sourcing strategies and proactive management.
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (Masters or PhD preferred) in Mathematics or a heavily quantitative field.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proven track record of making strategic, data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to business changes.
  • Experience in applied analytics for business problem solving, with research, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • 5+ years in a senior analyst or insight manager role, preferably in large retail or sourcing organizations.
  • Advanced data analysis skills (SQL, Python) and visualization skills (Tableau, ThoughtSpot).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, using a consultative approach.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in healthcare, especially in generic pharmaceuticals (sales, purchasing, distribution).
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as Snowflake, R, Python, or other data science languages.
  • Experience in analytics solutions for pricing, segmentation, A/B testing, and risk modeling.
  • Knowledge of retail pharmaceutical products and programs.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain risks and analytics risk models.
