Job summary

Mace in the UK is recruiting a Commercial Manager to join our expanding infrastructure consultancy team in Bristol. You will lead estimating and cost planning across whole projects, ensuring robust cost plans, value for money and integrated baselines within project controls.

You will set estimating strategies, develop early cost plans, benchmark data, liaise with specialists and contractors, drive value engineering and manage change.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying or related field.
• Professional qualification (RICS/CIOB/ICE) preferred.
• Experience with estimating on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience in cost planning and benchmarking data.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and cost planning across whole or part of works.
• Set estimating plan and strategy with the team.
• Prepare initial cost plans at pre-concept and concept stages.
• Refine cost plans through all stages to detailed design.
• Liaise with specialists and contractors for cost data.
• Drive cost data analysis and value engineering.
• Produce reports and provide commercial input to design and build teams.
• Manage change control to reflect current scope.
