Job summary

Volkswagen Group UK is recruiting a full-time indirect Buyer to join the Procurement team and report into the Procurement Category Manager. You will lead on delivery of projects and value generation within indirect spend, provide commercial guidance, coach stakeholders, and drive tender activity to leverage spend across brands and entities.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an indirect Procurement Buyer role.
• Confident and effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
• A keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills and a strong commercial acumen.
• A self-starter, who can operate independently in accordance to the category strategies agreed with your line manager.
• Resilience and curiosity: someone who is keen to learn and contribute within a continuous improvement environment

Responsibilities

• Lead on the delivery of projects and value generation within an indirect spend area.
• Provide commercial guidance and coaching on Procurement process and policy.
• Lead tender activity to leverage spend across brands and entities; scope review, supplier due diligence, negotiation and recommendation for approval.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements, build stakeholder relationships and ensure best practice across core processes.
