Job summary

Alpine Formula One Team is seeking a commercially driven Indirect Buyer to join our Procurement team, shaping the development of the indirect procurement function across technical, engineering, facilities and operational categories.

You will lead end-to-end sourcing, develop category strategies, analyze spend data, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings while managing supplier performance and stakeholder relationships in a high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in indirect procurement across technical, engineering, R&D, CapEx, facilities or complex service categories.
• Strong category management and strategic sourcing experience.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to analyse spend and market data to identify opportunities and drive results.
• Experience delivering measurable commercial benefits and reducing supply risk.
• Strong stakeholder management with the confidence to influence.
• Proficient in procurement systems including D365, Office 365 and AI tools.
• CIPS qualification, or progress towards CIPS, would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activity across technical and facilities-related categories.
• Develop and implement category strategies that improve value, supplier performance and resilience.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier assessments and competitive tender processes.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts, including terms and conditions.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, KPIs and improvement plans.
• Drive cost savings, supplier consolidation, risk reduction and value improvement initiatives.
• Support stakeholder teams with procurement expertise throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure procurement activities remain compliant with governance and processes.
• Contribute to developing procurement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
