Octagon Group is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead HSE across a high-technology manufacturing environment. You will report to the HR Director and drive a proactive HSE culture, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across the business.

Based in Ilfracombe, you will own the HSE strategy, influence decisions at all levels and create a safer, more sustainable workplace for all employees.

Competenze

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent required.
• Proven experience in Health, Safety & Environmental management, preferably in manufacturing.
• Environmental qualification relevant to the role.

Mansioni

• Lead the development and implementation of a positive HSE culture and drive continuous improvement across the business.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory health, safety, environmental and welfare legislation.
• Manage and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications, ensuring systems remain effective and compliant.
• Develop and monitor HSE targets, objectives and improvement programmes to enhance performance and minimise environmental impact.
• Provide expert guidance, advice and support to leaders and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Chair and lead the Health & Safety Committee, encouraging employee engagement and promoting best practice.
