Job summary

Meridian Trust is seeking a Head of HR Business Partnering to lead the HR Business Partnering service across the Trust. You will provide strategic leadership to the employee relations team and school HR colleagues, ensuring high-quality, legally sound HR advice and effective workforce planning.

You will partner with senior leaders and the Director of HR to shape a data-informed, responsive HR service across Bedfordshire schools, travel to Sawtry Head Office, and oversee the HR Hub team.

Qualifications

• Senior HR leader with significant HRBP experience in a complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and ACAS guidance.
• Experience in organisational change, settlement agreements and working with employment lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HR Business Partnering team across Meridian Trust.
• Provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance and tribunal-risk cases.
• Support senior leaders with workforce planning, TUPE activity and employment law compliance.
• Build strong relationships with school and Trust leaders, unions and legal advisers.
• Use HR data and KPIs to identify priorities and drive service improvements.
• Contribute to the People Strategy and HR strategic plan across the Trust.
• Coach and develop HR professionals for consistency and capability.
