Job summary

City of York Council is seeking an Engineer to manage and deliver highways assets and maintenance programmes across York and North Yorkshire. You will join the Highways Asset team reporting to the Highways Asset Manager and work with partners to maximise asset value.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements. Salary is Grade 9, £39,473 to £44,263 per annum, with opportunity to contribute to a dynamic transport planning agenda.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term capital renewal and maintenance programmes for highways assets.
• Coordinate with Highways Asset team, stakeholders, and contractors to deliver works.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations when delivering projects.
