Job summary

JD Group in the UK seeks a Head of Infrastructure & Cloud Services to shape strategy across Core Infrastructure, Cloud, Networks and Database Services, leading a complex technology estate and partnering with strategic service providers.

You will drive transformation, modernisation and AI-enabled operations, balancing stability with change while delivering measurable value. Reports to the Director of Service Management & DevOps and operates across the UK and EU.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading transformation of complex infrastructure estate.
• Strong leadership across multiple technical disciplines.
• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage risk, security and regulatory requirements.
• Budget ownership and supplier management across large technology estates.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, operational management and transformation of Core Infrastructure, Cloud, Networks and Database Services.
• Develop a multi-year transformation roadmap balancing stability, risk and innovation.
• Empower functional leaders with clear ownership and governance across teams.
• Modernise the hybrid estate with focus on security, resilience and cost efficiency.
• Translate technology strategy into practical delivery plans with measurable outcomes.
• Drive resilience, vulnerability management and disaster recovery programs.
• Build an integrated leadership culture and blended delivery model with partners.
• Own budget stewardship and supplier performance; optimise cloud costs.
• Engage stakeholders across Technology, EA, Cyber Security and Risk.
