Job summary

The Dean Trust invites applications for Head of Governance to lead our Multi-Academy Trust governance framework. You will work with the Trust Board, CEO and governors to drive board effectiveness, assurance and strategic oversight across our schools.

You will develop reviews, schemes of delegation and provide governance direction to Trust schools, ensuring safeguarding standards and delivering high-quality governance services across the MAT.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent.
• Degree or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Champion board effectiveness across the Trust by implementing robust evaluation frameworks and fostering high-standard governance practices.
• Lead governance reviews to evaluate compliance and optimise decision-making processes across all levels of the Trust.
• Providing governance direction and advice to all Trust schools.
• Work with the Trust Board, CEO and LGC Chairs to ensure the Trust's vision is implemented through governance.
• Underpin governance arrangements, such as schemes of delegation.
