Job summary

NHS Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board seeks a Senior Governance Manager to lead a professional governance team and provide strategic advice across NHS governance. You will influence governance across two integrated systems, ensuring accountability, transparency and regulatory compliance.

The role requires extensive SME knowledge in governance, strong leadership, and the ability to work with senior executives and partners to improve organisational assurance.

Qualifications

• Master’s level education or equivalent experience in governance.
• Significant leadership experience in governance.
• Understanding NHS policy implications for engagement and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and management of risk registers and board assurance processes.
• Oversee governance policies and corporate registers.
• Coordinate audit recommendations and assurance reporting.
• Support information governance, FOI and data protection processes.
• Ensure Standing Orders and Schemes of Delegation are current and effective.
