Job summary

National Justice Museum is seeking a Development Manager to lead fundraising activities aligned with our priorities. You will collaborate with the CEO, trustees and teams to build sustainable income from trusts, individuals, corporate partners and campaigns, strengthening financial resilience and impact.

You will develop compelling funding proposals, manage donor relationships and oversee reporting, while working to grow a robust pipeline and contribute to strategic planning and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising within charities, arts, heritage, or cultural organisations.
• Proven success securing grants or sponsorship income.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships.
• Strong bid-writing skills or grant writing ability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience developing funding applications to trusts and foundations.
• Experience building long-term donor relationships.
• Ability to develop persuasive fundraising cases for support.
• Experience developing and managing fundraising pipelines and income forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Museum's fundraising strategy and annual development plan.
• Deliver agreed fundraising targets across a diverse range of income streams.
• Identify, research and develop new funding opportunities to diversify income.
• Develop compelling cases for support and prepare high-quality funding applications.
• Build and maintain a robust fundraising pipeline and monitor income forecasts.
