Job summary

ABPM Recruitment Ltd on behalf of a leading environmental services group seeks an experienced FP&A professional to provide a complete Financial Planning and Analysis service across the UK-wide group.

You will build a high-level 6, 12, 36, and 60-month business plan, enhance annual budgeting, and prepare budgets for revenue, costs, and margins while monitoring performance with the Finance Director and operational teams.

Qualifications

• Experience of operating in a contract and/or manufacturing business.
• Financial modelling skills and an FP&A background.
• High proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Excel, and a tool such as Power BI; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience of participation on or supporting a board/executive team.

Responsibilities

• Produce a monthly executive summary from the Group monthly management accounts, including P&L analysis.
• Build a high-level 6-month and 12/36/60-month business plan across revenue and cost centres.
• Enhance and facilitate the annual group budgeting process.
• Prepare budgets for revenue, operational costs, gross profit and net profit margins.
• Monitor, challenge and analyse performance against budget with the FD.
• Create and update rolling 3-month and 12-month cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor cash balances within banking facilities and manage working capital.
• Track forecast overseas currency transactions to hedge FX exposure.
• Investment and project appraisals; support opportunities and acquisitions.
