Job summary

Marshalls is looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Business Finance Team in Elland. You will own the P&L and Balance Sheet for the Landscaping & Building Products units, collaborating with senior leaders to drive growth and profitability.

You will deliver forecasts and budgets, provide MI, and continuously enhance FP&A processes to support strategic decisions across the organisation. This hybrid role involves travel to manufacturing sites to gain operational insights.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent).
• Commercial business knowledge and FP&A experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ambitious, determined, and eager to engage with leadership teams, you are driven to challenge the norm, status quo and contribute to strategic decision-making.
• Team player with a strong motivation to succeed, resilience, well organised and structured approach.
• Able to foster productive relationships across the businesses with multi-level contacts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business, accounts, reporting cycles, and financial performance.
• Own the P&L and Balance Sheet and your business unit's performance, using judgement to manage and elevate issues.
• Deliver accurate forecasts and budgets and monthly accounts, including standard costing and variance analysis for visibility of production, material usage and labour efficiency.
• Shape strategy and drive the business toward its goals by presenting insightful Management Information to senior leaders.
• Improve FP&A processes and commercial decision-making to support stakeholders with timely insights.
• Frequent travel to manufacturing sites across the country to understand operations and add value.
