Job summary

Rapiscan Systems is recruiting a Financial Planning Analyst for the UK Finance team in Stoke-on-Trent. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and insightful financial reporting to support management decisions.

The ideal candidate will have FP&A experience in manufacturing, ACA/CIMA preferred, and strong Excel with familiarity with D365/Hyperion. Collaboration with global finance is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven FP&A experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• ACA or CIMA qualification preferred.
• Advanced Excel with strong experience in financial systems and reporting tools.
• Experience handling large datasets and delivering financial insights.
• Strong communication skills with non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience with US GAAP advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rolling monthly forecasts and the annual budget process.
• Establish departmental budgets and ensure cost control.
• Deliver management reporting across performance, revenue, inventory, project accounting and intercompany activity.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
• Develop and track KPIs with cross-functional teams.
• Support month-end close and assist with monthly, quarterly and annual accounts.
• Collaborate with global finance to align forecasting and reporting methodologies.
• Support statutory audits and respond to ad-hoc requests from senior leadership.
