Job summary

ONYX Insight is seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst to support critical financial models and analysis, partnering with stakeholders to drive performance. You will translate complex data into actionable recommendations while expanding FP&A expertise in a growing tech and engineering business in the renewables sector.

You will work within the Finance team on the operating model, Actuals vs Budget/Forecast analyses and multi-cycle planning, helping ensure data accuracy and timely

Qualifications

• Experience in FP&A with strong accounting principles
• Pursuing or newly qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA is advantageous
• Strong modelling and analytics with high data accuracy
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/CRM/HRIS systems
• Interest in technology/AI to improve efficiency and insights
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Willingness to develop broader FP&A responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and improvement of the three-statement operating model for forecasting and planning
• Deliver Actuals vs Budget/Forecast analysis with clear commentary on drivers
• Produce analyses across revenue, margin and operating costs to identify opportunities and risks
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual planning cycles ensuring data accuracy
• Enhance reporting, modelling and analytics to support decision-making
• Partner with stakeholders to challenge assumptions and provide commercial insight
• Contribute to data governance and financial discipline across systems and processes
